thesis and abstract

The bombing on Hiroshima and Nagasaki  in 1945 was rightfully justified. We as america had every right to retaliate on japan after what they had done to pearl harbor. The attack at pearl harbor was devistating and unbearable to see. Yes we went over board with our retaliation but what do you expect when a country that you were supposed to have peace with bombed you. America needed to strike back in a forceful way. There isn't a doubt that we got the better side of the draw after dropping those bombs. We may have killed and destroyed many of people and factories, but it was what needed to be done. In my opinion, japan tried to pull a fast one and after all the damage to pearl harbor, America would not want to have any part of killing after seeing the tragedies to themselves. But this is quite the opposite of what happened. America fought back hard and killed over 90,000 - 166,000 in Hiroshima and 60,000- 80,000 in Nagasaki with the bombs. The amount of people is kinda harsh, but i stick with my opinion on it being justified because we showed them that we cannot be messed with.
